Job Title: Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Location: Cardiff, Wales.

Reporting to: Group Marketing Manager

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week | Monday – Friday, 9 – 5

1.    The Job:

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Wales’s largest independently owned building services company, CMB Engineering, alongside our sister company, Cardiff City House of Sport.

 

As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will be assisting the Group Marketing Manager in creating and implementing the businesses digital, marketing and social media strategy for both CMB Engineering and Cardiff City House of Sport. The right applicant for this role will be able to manage and allocate their time to proactively deliver the marketing needs as required. They will have the capacity to grow an understanding of the varying needs of these organisations and how best to meet these needs.

 

2.    The Company:


CMB Engineering is a family-run business that has grown into one of the UK's largest independent Building Services Contractors. At CMB, personality and drive are key characteristics for a high performing team member. The business was formed in 1992 and since grown exponentially, reaching a record turnover over of £100 Million in 2025.

 

Cardiff City House of Sport is a sister company to CMB and is connected to Cardiff City Football Club. The sports facility business operates 5 sites across Cardiff with a range of sporting facilities, accommodating: football, basketball, hockey, netball, athletics, padel, rugby, disability sports, dance and more.

 

 

3.    Key Responsibilities


CMB Engineering:

  • Visiting sites to showcase the activities, achievements and progression of installations and organisational activities.

  • Maintain the CMB website and 3 social media platforms, promoting the commercial activities of the organisation.

  • Procuring marketing and promotional content to support the business’s needs.

  • Upkeeping the company brand through PR activities that reflect the standards of the company and industry.

 

House of Sport:

  • Create new strategies and creative ways to promote the business and help increase footfall/revenue.

  • Maintain the House of Sport website and 5 social media platforms.

  • Liaise with sporting groups to promote their activities.

  • Advertise House of Sport's facilities (House of Sport 1, 2 & 3, Cardiff International Sports Campus, House of Sport @ Ocean Way, Eastern High School and Willows High School).

  • Promote any forthcoming events.

  • Occasional weekend and evening work to generate content for promotions.

 

Both Companies:

  • Produce marketing and promotional content such as company magazines, newsletters, posters, leaflets, brochures, banners etc. Graphic design will be a key element to the role.

  • Creating and editing video and picture content for various marketing and promotional projects.

  • Monitoring and maintaining all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok).

  • Provide customer service support for all marketing, digital and social media queries.

 

4.    Key Skills:


  • The right applicant will be resourceful, proactive, and will have a keen eye and attention for detail when delivering work. They will have strong communication skills and an ability to work and think independently where required.

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role.

  • Capable of working under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.

  • Have a full UK driver’s licence in order to commute between the multiple sites and offices.

  • Experience in commercial graphic design and creating artwork that positively promotes business achievements.

  • A confident understanding of a range of social media platforms and how to utilise them in an organisational setting.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

  • Experience using Canva.

  • Experience in filming and video content editing.
