Job Title: Mechanical Site Supervisor

Location: Cardiff (including other sites across Wales and England)

Contract: Full Time

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate, based on experience

THE JOB


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee HVAC installation works across our active construction projects.

 

This is a key site-based role, ensuring all mechanical activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors and site operations effectively.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day site operatives for HVAC installation on site.

  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

  • Monitor project progress and provide digital reports to Project Managers.

  • Maintain site documentation electronically.

  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality, compliance, and safety standards.

  • Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.

  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients and main contractors.

  • Review drawings, specifications, programme of works and RAMS.

  • Assist with resolving technical issues and on-site challenges.

  • Monitor material usage and support procurement where necessary.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in HVAC installation and supervision

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building services systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations

  • Basic IT skills and confidence using a Laptop for emails, reporting, and documentation

  • Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical / HVAC Sector

  • SSSTS / SMSTS Preferred

  • Valid CSCS Card

  • Full UK Driving Licence


DESIRABLE / BENEFICIAL

  • First Aid Qualified

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or project management software
