Job Title: Senior Craftsperson

Location: Cardiff (including various sites across Wales)

Contract: Full Time

Hours of work:  Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate, based on experience

THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced senior craftsperson “pipefitter” to join our growing HVAC team.

 

This is a key role for a skilled professional who can lead installations, interpret complex drawings, ensure high quality workmanship and mentor junior staff.

 

You will work on a range of commercial and industrial projects, delivering high-standard mechanical pipework for heating, chilled water, domestic, ventilation and associated HVAC systems.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pipefitter looking to work on varied projects within a professional and safety-focused environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installation of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and plastic pipework systems.

  • Install, assemble, and maintain HVAC pipework systems to specification.

  • Working from technical drawings, schematics and specifications.

  • Fabrication, fitting, and installation of heating and chilled water systems.

  • Installation of plant room pipework including pumps, valves and associated equipment.

  • Carrying out pressure testing, commissioning support, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

  • Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and health and safety regulations.

  • Coordinating with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on site.

  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping.

  • Lead and supervise pipefitting activities on site, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a pipefitter within the HVAC sector

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Experience working on commercial or industrial projects

  • NVQ Level 2/3 MES Heating and Ventilating – Installation

  • Valid CSCS Card

  • IPAF Certification (desirable but not mandatory)

  • PASMA Certification (desirable but not mandatory)

  • Full UK driving license (essential)

  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices

  • Motivated individual that can work as part of a team and to their own initiative.
