CMB Engineering was delighted to support and organise a recent business networking event on behalf of our friends at Llanrumney Hall Community Trust, bringing together a wide range of local businesses, organisations and community leaders for a meaningful and successful morning in the heart of Cardiff.
The event welcomed Cardiff’s Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, who joined attendees for a morning focused on collaboration, community engagement and fundraising. Guests had the opportunity to hear directly from the Lord Mayor, who delivered a speech reflecting on his experiences during his time as Mayor, the work being carried out across Cardiff, and the charities and causes that have been particularly important throughout his term. Attendees were also able to ask questions and gain further insight into the role and responsibilities that come with representing the city.
Hosted at the historic Llanrumney Hall, the event created an opportunity for businesses from across South Wales to connect with one another while also learning more about the work carried out by Llanrumney Hall Community Trust. The morning highlighted the importance of community spaces and the positive impact that local organisations and businesses can have when working together.
We are proud to announce that the event successfully raised £5,000, with proceeds being shared between Llanrumney Hall Community Trust and the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress’ chosen charities, Forget Me Not Chorus and Cardiff Dogs Home, The Rescue Hotel. These organisations provide valuable support within the community, including support for people living with dementia and care for rescue dogs across Cardiff. Both charities are causes particularly close to the hearts of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress.
Throughout the morning, guests were invited to take part in one of Llanrumney Hall’s guided tours, offering a closer look into the Hall’s rich history and restoration journey. As a Grade II listed building with a history stretching back nearly 1,000 years, the Hall provided a unique and memorable setting for the event. Guests also enjoyed refreshments and catering provided by Beans To Coffee At The Hall, one of the Hall’s valued tenants.
The event also gave businesses in attendance the opportunity to better understand the work taking place at Llanrumney Hall and explore ways in which the local business community can continue supporting both the Hall and the wider community moving forward.
CMB Engineering would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the event such a success, including Evans Electrical Ltd., HSJ Accountants, Business & Tax Advisors, Cardiff Commissioning, The Cadmen Limited, Greenscape Systems, Thomas Carroll Brokers, Forrest Brown and Ken Poole MBE, Head of Economic Development at Cardiff Council.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Llanrumney Hall Community Trust for hosting the event and continuing to provide a valuable space for community activity, local engagement and partnership working within Cardiff.
CMB Engineering looks forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring together businesses, charities and communities across South Wales in the future.
