CMB are proud to announce the successful completion and handover of the specialist fit-out and MEP works for KLA’s new UK R&D and Manufacturing Centre in Newport.

 

This landmark project combined advanced cleanroom environments with state-of-the-art building services to support KLA’s research and manufacturing operations.

 

Throughout the project, the team maintained the highest standards of safety, quality and cleanliness while working closely with KLA’s facilities team to support a seamless transition from the existing facility.

 

Following handover in April 2025, CMB completed a further expansion in August 2025, delivering a new laboratory environment and ISO 6 cleanrooms. Phase Two works included extensions to the process gas and vacuum systems, incorporating more than 16km of process gas pipework.

 

The completed facility reflects the scale and ambition of KLA’s investment in South Wales and demonstrates CMB’s capability to deliver highly technical environments to exacting standards in partnership with its clients.
