We are now 18 months into construction on the Pen y Dre High School in Merthyr Tydfill, carrying out the Mechanical services for the project on behalf of Morgan Sindall for Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
Progress has been going well and we’re pleased to announce that both Phase 1 and Phase 3 of the build are now complete and in use by the client, with first fix of Phase 2 due to commence in October of this year.
Phase 5 of the project (the swimming pool) has works ongoing and includes changing and shower rooms, AHU supply and extract to the changing rooms and swimming pool, 4no air source heat pumps and plant room, and is due for completion in the coming months. This carbon-zero project aims to utilise air source heat pumps as the main source of heating throughout the building in order to become a more sustainable and environmentally friendly building.
Well done to the CMB West team who are providing the services on this project and have been meeting deadlines throughout the course of this build
