With the ever-expanding nature of the company and the size and specialist nature of the projects we undertake, the Board of Directors has resolved that they will appoint Rob Borley and Richard Smithen to the position of Project Director.
These appointments have also been made with a view to strengthen the board as part of the future succession plan of the business, thus ensuring stability and visibility both internally and externally as CMB continue to expand both geographically and commercially.
We would like to congratulate Richard and Rob for their ceaseless hard work and dedication and wish them continued success in shaping the future of the business.
Steve Borley group MD said: “This is a great advert for our train and retain strategy - Rob has just reached the 25-year milestone with us having started as a site-based apprentice working his way through all levels of management proving himself at every stage along the way. Carrying the family surname can be a heavy burden in a business but Rob has excelled and shown himself to be a true leader.”
“Richard has followed a similar path with Crown House Engineering and quickly bought into our culture of opportunity and ambition and has impressed both the directors and clients with his approach and management skills.”
This is a testament to the hard work and dedication, and I would personally like to wish them every success in the future in their new rolls.
