After 4 months of planning, training and fundraising, 16 of our CMB staff members successfully took on and completed the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge last weekend.
This gruelling experience saw our team take on the 17-mile hike in under 24 hours in aid of a fantastic fundraiser for Danielle - a good friend of one of our employees at the Cardiff Office. And we are pleased to announce we managed to raise an incredible £5,561 thanks to the 100+ donations we received from people via our GoFundMe page!
We’d like to thank and congratulate everyone who took on this challenge, including: Mason Bermingham, Steven Page, David Williams, Jason Oliver, Catrin Ellis, Jade Lynch, Tom Price, Shaun Allen, Nathan Brace, Neil Reynolds, Jack Henry, Sarah Burge, Amanda Llasera, Mark Stogdan, Nigel Williams and Trystan Smith. It is an amazing achievement for an amazing cause!
Thank you also to all those who sponsored and donated, including: LA Industrial (T Shirts sponsor), Pipework Mechanical (minibus sponsor), Darren Mansel (for driving the minibus), Emily Bendon and Victoria Holt for meeting everyone at the end with cold beers, PN Signs (for the large printed banner) and all the generous donations made online from a wide range of subcontractors and organisations that we work with – it means a lot!
This challenge also happened to come during Mental Health Awareness Week where the theme for this year is ‘movement: moving for your mental health’, and we have no doubt this physical expedition through Wales’ countryside provided the team with some positive endorphins and a bonding experience that has aided their mindset as well as kept them fit and supported a great cause.
Congratulations again all!
