Last week, our sponsored Guide Dog puppy, Ollie, paid us a visit at CMB’s Cardiff office and met our team of staff for the first time. As you can see, Ollie is significantly bigger than the last time we posted his paw-trait on the CMB socials. He is almost a year old now and is thriving and excelling across all areas of his report card. Ollie is currently learning how to cope with busy environments more effectively and so his visit to our office gave him good practice when meeting the staff. He is described by his guardian and trainers as a ‘very loving lad who enjoys his training’. After a tough couple of years for guide dogs who had training dramatically affected by the social isolation and strict regulations of the pandemic, it’s amazing to see this incredible charity carry out the great work that it has done for so many years. Lets’ hope the newest generation of guide dogs like our Ollie can ensure that many members of the visually impaired community can get back out again with the support of a well-trained fury friend. Ollie is yet another example of Guide Dog’s incredible work and we can’t wait to see him be a source of support and comfort to a visually impaired person. We would also like to say a special thank you to Guide Dog’s and their team for making the trip to our Cardiff office to introduce Ollie to the staff here and for giving their time to make this happen. His guardians and trainers are doing an amazing job with him, and we are delighted at CMB to be able to facilitate this in support of meeting the dire demand for guide dogs in 2022.
As you can see from the picture below, Ollie did not want to leave us!
