CMB Attend Wales Tech Week at Newport's ICC

Last week, Tuesday 17th October, we attended the Wales Tech Week event at the International Convention Centre in Newport – a project which CMB provided the M&E works for during its construction. As Wales continues to establish itself as a global player in developing technological industries, the summit aims to connect and create opportunities for some of the most innovative and forward-thinking people and businesses in tech.

One of CMB Maintenance’s clients, CSA Catapult, were present at the Wales Tech event showcasing their works on the internationally recognised clusters of compound semiconductors. Since CSA Catapult’s inception, they have funded over £100M in projects and have consequently created/safeguarded over 4,700 jobs.

The technology that these facilities create is instrumental in serving the foundation of the computers, smartphones, cars and other electronic devices that we use every day. As the UK makes a conscious effort to secure their position in the global compound semiconductor sector, CMB are pleased to be working at the heart of this movement in providing many of these ground-breaking cleanroom and compound semiconductor facilities across the UK, including CSA Catapult, IQE, TRH, CISM, and SPTS.
