Purpose of the job: CMB Maintenance are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, individual looking at becoming a qualified Maintenance Operative. Essential: As a Trainee Maintenance Operative you will have a variety of day-to-day duties, which after the appropriate training/guidance will include: · Ensuring the grounds around the site are maintained to a high standard. · Essential maintenance on plumbing and electrical systems. · General building maintenance such as general painting and basic carpentry. · Collecting parts required by engineers. · Assisting our engineers and electricians as required. As our ideal candidate you will have: · A strong desire in becoming a qualified Maintenance Operative. · Good communication and team working skills. · The ability to plan and organise your own workload. · Be comfortable working unsupervised after the appropriate training.
Training/Qualifications: · The successful candidate will attend college to achieve, at minimum, NVQ Level 2 skills in related subjects such as commercial plumbing. Travel & Unsocial Hours: · Although based in the Newport, there may be a requirement for travel to various sites across England and Wales. · There may be a requirement to work unsocial hours when necessary, in this instance notice will be giving.
