We’re pleased to share yet another exciting update from the Fairwater Community Campus project, where construction continues to move forward at pace across all areas.

In the last 6 weeks since our last update, internal works have seen excellent progress in both Cantonian High School and the Health & Wellbeing Block. With a dedicated workforce of over 300 people onsite, the internal fit-out is now well underway, and a key milestone has recently been reached with the beginning stages of suspended ceiling installation in the first zones taking place – a real sign of spaces beginning to take shape.

All buildings are now largely watertight, with hot melt roof coverings complete across the site. Thanks to some favourable dry weather, the external envelope works are progressing well too, with brickwork advancing behind the cladding and steel framing system (SFS) trades.

On the Woodlands and Riverbank buildings, internal trades have begun, marking the next stage of development. First side internal partitions are also underway, laying the groundwork for future room formations. Externally, great progress has also been made, with key incoming water main connections having been successfully completed, along with the installation of external concrete slabs for cycle shelters and Mechanical & Electrical plant areas.

We’re looking forward to bringing more updates as the site progresses.
