CMB Engineering began works on the new Llanrumney Sports Complex in May of this year. In the first 4 months of construction, the site team have made fast progress, in part thanks to the great weather they’ve been blessed with these last few months.
The 4 x 3G pitches on the site are comprised of a Rugby pitch, a Dual pitch, a Football pitch for Cardiff City Football Club and a Hockey pitch for Cardiff University with all pitches having now had the sub-pitch drainage systems installed. The Rugby facility is currently furthest along in construction and is due to be handed over at the end of this month with the other pitches estimated to be completed between October and December.
The Complex also boats the famous former Dr. Who building (now an Academy building) which is coming along nicely with steel works beginning to be installed.
