THE JOB

As our Business continues to grow, we are looking for a Planner to join our newly established Planning Team.

 

As Planner, you will support the Planning Manager in delivering a range of exciting projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration schemes. Working closely with the project teams, you’ll gain valuable experience while contributing to sustainable development and positive change within the region.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare pre-construction and construction M&E programmes in line with the design information

  • Prepare programmes for tenders using the information provided

  • Prepare resource histograms for M&E programmes

  • Monitor programmes regularly, advise the project teams of the progress position and then update if required

  • Produce site phasing and logistic plans that are clear and understandable and demonstrate how CMB will deliver their works

  • Supporting the site teams with programme management, where appropriate


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • All levels and backgrounds considered but main contracting construction and building services experience is essential.

  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

  • Be able to interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction information

  • Effective communicator with the ability to build productive relationships at all levels

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction management, or equivalent

  • Appropriate CSCS Card

  • Full UK driving license

  • Motivated individual that can work as part of a team and to their own initiative

  • Ability to be proactive with tasks and duties

  • Committed to following procedures and ensuring tasks are fully completed

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

 

DESIRABLE / BENEFICIAL

  • Proven experience in a construction or building services contracting environment

  • Onsite and pre-construction planning experience and be able to produce accurate programmes using Asta Power Project

  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems and installation practices

  • Familiarity in construction software (e.g. Bluebeam, Revizto, Dalux etc)

  • Experience in using electronic document management systems (e.g. Asite, 4Projects, etc)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Powerpoint)

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
