CMB Win SCF Sub-Contractor of the Year

We were very proud to recently hear that CMB won Sub-contractor of the Year for the Oxford Decarbonisation Programme at the SCF Framework Awards.

The Oxford Decarbonisation Programme was introduced to enhance sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives, while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. CMB were awarded the £4.5 Million Mechanical contract by Wilmott Dixon to decarbonise four council leisure centres in Oxford as part of this initiative.

SCF said CMB were chosen for this award for our proactive and collaborative approach to educating stakeholders on the decarbonisation process.

Luke Page, Construction Manager for Willmott Dixon, commended on the working relationship with CMB during the project, saying:

“When the Oxford de-carbonisation projects first came to the region, CMB were the only supply chain partner who stood out. To ensure we could deliver this unique scheme, we needed a partner who shared our values and culture, and in CMB we have that! Without them onboard, the project would never have started let alone been completed.

CMB have demonstrated a can-do attitude throughout, working hand in hand with the customers design team and the end-users to ensure the buildings we are working on keep operating throughout.

From the outset, CMB have worked side by side with the Oxford City Councils design team to ensure the systems being installed are of good quality and are user friendly. They have engaged with the leisure operators and residents when needed to support them with a better understanding of the decarbonisation process and what it means to them. CMB have truly shown a one-team ethos.”

It’s always great to receive these awards however feedback such as this pays equal testament to the hard work of our onsite engineers. A special mention to our site team who worked on this project and congratulations on securing this award.
