CMB Apprentices Attend High School Careers Fair

Last week, 4 of our team attended a careers fair at Cantonian High School to give students from year 7 to year 12 a taste of what it’s like to work in the construction and engineering industry.

Former CMB apprentices Jessica Dix and Josh Hatfield, Contracts Manager Tom Price and Site Supervisor Jason Oliver spoke to the students informing them about what we do at CMB and the range of departments and roles that are available in a construction organisation like ours. It was great to see such interest and enthusiasm shown by these young people, who were particularly intrigued by our involvement in some of the most known buildings in Wales such as Cardiff City Stadium, Swansea Arena and The Celtic Manor.

With apprenticeships having always been such a core part of the CMB structure, we see it as important to attend these fairs and encourage the next generation to try their hand in construction – great opportunities and engineers can come from these experiences.
