Congratulations - Molly Andreou Progresses to National HIP Finals!

In celebration of International Womens Day yesterday, we want to congratulate 4th year CMB Apprentice, Molly Andreou, who recently participated in the first ever HIP Female Skills Competition and has come out on top of the southern heat, now preparing herself for the live final held at Loughborough College later this month.

Molly’s name was put forward by her mentors at Cardiff and Vale College to participate in the competition in London, where she conducted a live practical plumbing installation. Her talent was assessed amongst the best of others in the southern region and she stood out by being the only learner to complete the task in the time frame provided.

Her mentors noticed her skills ‘shone through’ and that she held the college, our company and particularly herself, to the highest standard.

Molly added: “It was thrilling to be a part of not only a competition, but the first ever HIP competition that was dedicated to the talent of females in the industry. I’m now looking forward to the national finals at the end of March”.

Candidates like Molly are undoubtedly a strong prospect in representing an even brighter future for women in a once male dominated industry and we couldn’t be prouder of her successes in this industry.

Best of luck for the finals, Molly!
