Joined Crown House Engineering as a Student Apprentice in 1974 and trained to ACIBSE level. Promoted through the various grades to become youngest Manager with the company. Promoted to Area Manager responsible for Mechanical and Electrical Divisions control of £13.5 Million annual turnover.
Set up an in-house design department to undertake the C.I.A. Cardiff International Hotel and Headquarters for Principality Building Society. In the sixteen years at Crown House Engineering the largest projects controlled included South Glamorgan County Headquarters at Atlantic Wharf (£3.5 million) and N.P.I. Building (£4.5 million).
Joined Johnson & Baxter Ltd in 1966 as a Student Apprentice and upon successful completion assumed responsibility for the running of Johnson & Baxter's Exeter Branch Office ultimately being appointed Branch Manager in 1973.
Moved to Cardiff in 1977 to open and assume sole responsibility as Local Branch Manager for establishing Johnson and Baxter's presence in South Wales. Appointed local Director in 1990 and developed the business circa £5m (2nd largest office within the Group) before joining CMB Engineering in March 1997.
Joined Crown House Engineering as a Student Apprentice. During 12 years employment rose to become a senior engineer responsible for projects up to £2m. Later joined Mitie Engineering as Manager, managing a project team on the multimillion pound Intel Project in Dublin. Joined CMB Engineering in 1994.
Joined Welsh Health Common Services Authority in July 1987 as a Design Engineer. Progressed to Estate Officer Grade 1 before leaving the Authority in July 1996 to join Brightside YAY Ltd as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Joined CMB Engineering in February 1998.
Time served engineer with HOW Group Engineering, later joining Johnson & Baxter gaining vast experience in design and contract management. Joined CMB as a Contracts Engineer August 2004.
Time served student apprentice with Crown House Engineering. Progressed to Engineer status before joining CMB as a Contracts Engineer in November 1996.
Employed as Quantity Surveyor at Haley Somerset, Croydon in 1989 working on M & E Contracts in London and the South East until 1991. Joined Keith Baker & Son (now Chandler KBS) in Cardiff to work on a wide range of Building and Civil Engineering projects before leaving to join Johnson & Baxter, Cardiff in February 1996. Joined CMB Engineering in November 1997.
Graduated in 2001 from Cardiff University with a BSc Econ in Business Economics. Gained vast experience working in the public sector in a variety of IT related roles before joining CMB Engineering in 2003.
Joined Crown House Engineering in 1970 as an Estimator and was quickly promoted to Senior Estimator. During twenty three years experience was responsible for the preparations of some of the largest tenders in South Wales. Highly regarded in the industry and generally considered the most experienced in the area, joined CMB Engineering in 1994.
Joined Johnson & Baxter Cardiff from R.W. Gregory in 1989 as a draughtsman before progressing into the estimating department. Joined CMB Engineering April 1997 as an estimator.
Having worked for a number of years for Crown House Engineering (Electrical Department) as a Draughtsman joined CMB Engineering in 1992 assuming responsibility for preparation of Builders Work / Working / As Fitted Drawings, O & M Manuals & Method Statements.

The labour force is made up of time served direct employees with national company training and experience. The senoir foremen all have national company backgrounds with 20-30 years experience and all skilled outside operatives are HVCA Skillcard registered (equivalent to CICS).
